Reporting to the Managing Partner the Recruitment Consultant at Burger Urge will play a vital role in supporting and attracting new team members. You will be responsible for ensuring that our HR policies and practices are up-to-date, compliant with relevant laws and regulations, and aligned with our company values.

Role Description:

  • Collaborate to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Coordinating the advertising of job vacancies, conducting applicant interviews and assessments, and ultimately selecting staff members. Manage job vacancy information, including details on job descriptions, wages, and employment terms, to support both employers and job seekers.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and organize and facilitate comprehensive staff inductions, ensuring clarity on service conditions, salaries, and career progression.
  • Analysing and interpreting labour laws, awards, contracts, and wage systems; developing enterprise agreements and workplace policies; overseeing employee consultation and participation initiatives.
  • Conduct negotiations on employment terms and resolve disputes effectively, interpreting relevant legislation and employment contracts.
  • Maintain accurate employee records using Tanda and assist with HR administrative tasks to ensure efficient data management and support HR initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture
  • Assist with performance management and employee relations issues

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2+ years of HR recruitment experience
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in employment contract management and PD development
  • Sound knowledge of Fair Work regulations and National Employment Standards (NES)
  • Ability to interpret and apply industry awards
  • Qualifications:
  • Relevant bachelor degree in Human Resources or postgraduate qualification in a similar field
  • Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Proactive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $80,000 per year plus superannuation (Super).
