The Role
The Environment Centre Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in the development and management of the Centre’s volunteer program. The position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the program and its volunteers, including recruitment, training, support, and performance management. The Volunteer Coordinator also leads the development and delivery of program strategies to ensure continuous improvement and industry best practices. Additionally, the role works to establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve shared environmental goals.
In this role you will be responsible to:
- lead performance excellence by setting clear direction and expectations for individuals and teams
- coordinate the development and delivery of the Environment Centre Volunteer Program
- manage day-to-day volunteer activities, including recruitment, training, rostering and skills development
- develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to attract and engage volunteers
- promote community action and behaviour for sustainability through engagement activities
- network and establish partnerships with community and government partners to achieve goals.
To be successful you will have:
- highly developed organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- proven skill in managing stakeholder relationships, nurturing partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
- experience in creating, overseeing, and evaluating program strategies, including conducting research, validation, and benchmarking.

- requires a “C” class Drivers Licence,
- requires a Working Safety with Children Check
- may require a criminal history check
