Salary: Up to $45,128 per annum (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary Full-time  

Program Duration: 12 months 

Commencing: June 2025 

Brisbane City Council’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traineeship Pathway program is a deadly opportunity to gain experience in a business environment while working towards a nationally recognised qualification (Cert III in Business). This program is designed to set you up for success with hands-on learning, professional development, and tailored mentoring.

What we’re looking for:  

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander  
  • Keen to gain experience in a professional business setting. 
  • Reliable and organised, with good communication skills. 
  • Committed to completing your training modules throughout the year. 
  • Able to travel across Brisbane (some locations may not be serviced by public transport). 

After completing the traineeship, you’ll have:  

  • A nationally recognised qualification (Cert III in Business). 
  • Practical experience to boost your career. 
  • The skills to apply for roles within Council or beyond.
