Our Branch   

Property Services was created in early 2024, bringing together multiple teams from across Council into one branch to deliver services to support asset optimisation and property administration. 

The Role 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Assistant Lease Officer to be part of a team of property professionals that manage a portfolio of leases, licenses, permits and other such property agreements (Property Contracts) where Council is either landlord/tenant or the equivalent of. 

This position supports the Lease Officers, Senior Lease Officer, and the Lease Management Manger to provide a high level of customer service and advice. It requires timely, accurate and considered information to be provided and adherence to Council Governance procedures.  

The Assistant Lease officer position’s supports the end-to-end management of property agreements as required, with the portfolio comprising of, but is not limited to, Community, Park, Office, Land, Industrial, Telecommunication, Trust and Retail Leases as well as a variety of other Property Contracts. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • leasing administration, including the commencement and termination of Property Contracts by ensuring leasing data is accurate and complete in Council’s property management system (REFX SAP) 
  • Maintaining and administering records, files, systems, procedures and relevant documentation as required 
  • Developing and maintaining administrative processes and producing a range of written material including reports, letters, information packs and presentations as required 
  • The efficient processing of rental and property related invoices to tenants and landlords. 
  • Liaison with well-developed communication skills, as required, with internal and external stakeholders.  

This role is critical to supporting the business functions of Property Services. Your administrative expertise will be highly valued in this role and contribute to the ongoing high performance of the team.
