About this Position
Join Australia’s largest Council, in this rewarding opportunity where you will have influence and enjoy benefits that matter. In this position, you can be part of Brisbane City Council, which has a central role in readying the city for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games over the coming years.
You will thrive, model and lead performance excellence whilst managing key relationships for complex contracts, overseeing e-mobility operators, advertising, and personalised public transport contracts. Whilst taking ownership of contractual advice, collaborating, and providing clear contract development, negotiation, and results, you will maintain relationships across organisational boundaries to drive consistent delivery. There has not been a more exciting transport chapter with the delivery of Council’s e-mobility scheme, advertising arrangements including bus wraps and bus stops across the city, and Personalised Public Transport (Council branded maxi-taxi’s) operating across suburban routes, linking to public transport hubs.
To be successful, you will bring
- demonstrated experience providing strategic consultation and guidance on contractual, risk and business decisions that could have an impact on Council from a contractual perspective.
- experience maintaining and developing relationships across organisational boundaries, driving consistent and seamless delivery
- exposure negotiating budgets and resources, focusing on shared outcomes
- experience in resolving complex issues with high profile, external, internal, and competing stakeholder interests
- demonstrated ability in building collaborative models with suppliers and program partners to improve public value.
- strategic ability in leadership, process improvement and driving efficiencies
- proficiency in planning, progress monitoring, and identifying improvement opportunities
- strong direction in governance, risk management, quality assurance, and cost control
- experience in procurement would also be beneficial
