Salary Range: Band 1 - AUD $65,400 - $69,427 (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions + superannuation + annual leave loading + overtime opportunities!)

Work type: Temporary Full Time - 9-day fortnight

Duration: Up to 12 months (with high possibility of extensions)

Brisbane is Australia's fastest growing city. Brisbane City Council (BCC) administers an area of 1,343 square kilometres, supporting a population of over 2.7 million people and is experiencing rapid growth. The Warehouse and Logistics Team within Support Services, Payment and Supplies stream are responsible for the warehousing, receiving and distribution of goods across multiple locations' throughout Council’s operations 

The Role

This role is a rare entry level position to get your foot in the door of Australia’s largest Council and open yourself up to a career of opportunities. 

Based at our locations within Eagle Farm, the Logistics Operations Officers all play an essential customer focused role within the team to coordinate stock and materials movements and perform distribution and warehousing functions for a wide range of customers and service offerings.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a ZeroHarm workforce and ability to contribute to team goals and a culture of performance excellence,
  • Well-developed skills in warehousing and logistics operations i.e. inventory management, distribution and courier services,
  • A team player with a well-developed customer service focus, great interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise your work, completing tasks within specified timeframes,
  • A current C class driver’s licence (mandatory requirement),
  • Forklift ticket (ability to acquire – on the job training provided!).

Desirable:

  • While not mandatory, an MR or HR class drivers’ licence would be highly regarded for this role,
  • Demonstrated ability in utilising corporate computer systems i.e. SAP and Microsoft suite of products or similar,
  • Working knowledge or awareness of workplace health and safety considerations.
