Our Team

The Planning and Design team is a dynamic group of professionals with extensive experience and a proven track record of excellence in the design and documentation of civil and civic infrastructure projects. As a surveying consultancy within CPO, we are dedicated to delivering surveys that not only meet design and planning requirements but also balance environmental considerations with community-friendly infrastructure.

Our work goes beyond the ordinary. We collaborate across various Council program areas, contributing to a wide array of significant projects, including major infrastructure, road programs, bikeway initiatives, suburban library refurbishments, landfill remediation, sports field developments, and flood damage assessments and redesigns. Our team is involved in unique projects that provide exposure to unique types of land and scenarios.

The Role

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Cadastral Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert cadastral surveying services to Brisbane City Council work units. This is an exciting opportunity to manage complex projects, supervise field staff without the requirement of direct reports, and offer professional advice on a diverse range of land management and infrastructure projects.

To be successful you will have:

  • tertiary qualifications in Surveying and be endorsed to complete Cadastral Surveys by the Surveyors Board of Queensland (SBQ)
  • possession of a current ‘C’ class driver’s licence
  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outstanding results
  • proven experience in managing and delivering on complex projects within set parameters (scope, time, cost, quality, customer expectations)
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills appropriate to various stakeholders, including property owners, members of the public, Councillors and various internal teams across Council
  • demonstrated ability to work within a structured environment, adhering to established processes, professional systems, standards, and procedures for survey work
  • proficiency with databases, information systems and basic skills in word processing and spreadsheets.

Experience using Leica Robotic Total Stations, 12D software, and operating as a one-man field crew is desirable, but not essential.
