The Role
Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of internal and external marketing and communication strategies and plans and manage communication materials and activities for the Connected Communities branch. Undertake the coordination of public relations activities, marketing communication collateral, media management, advertising, and associated project management and reporting in a manner consistent with corporate policy and standards.
In delivering this communication expertise, this role will help deliver Connected Communities branch and city-wide outcomes.
To be successful you will have:
- high-level ability to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to achieve program outcomes
- demonstrated ability to identify and develop cross promotional opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders across the branch to achieve branch goals.
- thorough knowledge of current media communication trends and issues and ability to improve communication outcomes
- demonstrated ability to craft, deliver and evaluate media and communication strategies
- strong written and verbal communication skills, including researching, writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills, for a range of projects and audiences.
- demonstrated ability to self-manage and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team with proven project management skills, reporting and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet competing deadlines.
