Public Space Operations is a service delivery, customer focused and commercially driven business that prides itself on keeping Brisbane’s streets and public spaces clean, green, and safe for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
We are currently looking for a Technical Officer Natural Environment to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work in our Greenspace business, which delivers a broad range of services across the city’s conservation reserves, parks, gardens & roadside landscapes.
You will be assisting in the planning and management of citywide vegetation management programs, as well as providing technical advice on natural area management to the Natural Environment Coordinator, the Greenspace Delivery Manager and to external customers.
To be successful you will have:
- experience in horticulture or natural area management with the ability to coordinate the delivery of successful outcomes within the city
- high level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and influence groups at all levels in the organisation and externally
- the ability to monitor and report on projects, including managing project outcomes relating to budget and timeframes
- the ability to produce project briefs and estimates for vegetation management projects and;
- prioritisation skills to manage and monitor workflows, meeting deadlines and customer needs.
Completion of National Fire Industry accredited modules are highly desirable.
