Are you experienced with resource-based estimates for civil projects?

Technical Services deliver an agile mix of support for projects and operations across Construction.

As Construction Planner Estimator your role is to develop systems, prepare unit rate and resource-based estimates, and cost budgets and programs of work for the delivery of civil infrastructure service maintenance and capital projects and scheduled works.

As part of your role you will also capture, develop, and maintain customer information, specification, and reporting systems.

This is a key role if you thrive in an agile and dynamic working environment with changing and competing priorities.

This recruitment process will potentially seek an Order of Merit to create a 12-month opportunity for the North Planning team.

To be considered you will have:

  • demonstrated knowledge, experience and development of products and services within the civil construction and maintenance field.
  • ability to coordinate multiple and complex projects simultaneously
  • comprehensive knowledge and ability to prepare estimates and maintain resource cost information such as cost tracking, progress payments and variations
  • demonstrated ability to prepare, develop, manage, and report on unit rate and resource-based estimates according to client specifications 
  • highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to provide clear resource based estimates on complex jobs
  • highly developed verbal and written communication, consultation, and stakeholder relationship skills.
