In this position, you can be part of Brisbane City Council, which has a central role in readying the city for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games over the coming years.

You will thrive and mentor, whilst delivering financial reporting, budgets, taking ownership of contractual advice, collaborating, and providing clear contract development, negotiation, and results. With your high-level expertise you will drive with clarity and awareness, to support our business and service to the city. There has not been a more exciting transport chapter with the delivery of Brisbane Metro and the refined scheduling of buses, ferries, e-mobility and more. You will enjoy a close-knit, values-based work culture, delivering initiatives daily in a truly dynamic environment. You will build, develop, manage, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Translink and bus sub-contractors. 

To be successful, you will bring

  • demonstrated experience maintaining and developing relationships across organisational boundaries, driving consistent and seamless delivery
  • extensive exposure negotiating budgets and resources, focusing on shared outcomes
  • experience in resolving complex issues with high profile and competing stakeholder interests
  • skills in planning the resourcing of services, with appropriate risk management to meet demand within budget
  • demonstrated ability in building new collaborative models with suppliers and program partners to improve public value.
  • previous record in leadership, process improvement and driving efficiencies
  • high level skills leading transformative business changes 
  • proficiency in planning, progress monitoring, and identifying improvement opportunities
  • direction in governance, risk management, quality assurance, and cost control.
