Public Space Operations is a service delivery, customer focused and commercially driven business that prides itself on keeping Brisbane’s streets and public spaces clean, green and safe for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.​​​​​​​ 

The Role  

As the Client Operational and Development Lead you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting operational changes within the Public Space Operations business. The primary focus of the role is to provide governance for changes impacting on Public Space Operations.  

The role reports to the Manager, Operations and has several key responsibilities. You will take the lead in displaying customer-focused behaviour and promoting a culture based on our values. This includes effectively engaging with and building strong relationships with important business stakeholders. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of operational business improvements. When incidents, problems, or issues arise, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and conducting root-cause analysis to identify and address their underlying causes. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • extensive experience in providing excellent customer service 
  • highly developed skills in managing and presenting data for business outcomes 
  • the ability to negotiate and communicate with staff and management at all levels 
  • experience in proactively promoting and guiding continuous improvement and business process changes 
  • strong written communication skills for concise presentations and guidelines 
  • problem-solving skills for analysing business requirements and making recommendations 
  • a familiarity with business process and application management tools for driving continuous improvement 
  • proven ability to work independently and in a team under pressure, meet deadlines, and achieve outcomes across multiple projects in a complex environment.
