Program Planning and Integration (PPI) is the primary connection point between Council’s policy and delivery areas across several of the city’s asset types. The Roles

Two temporary opportunities to work collaboratively with asset owners and delivery partners and proactively seek to continually improve projects and processes, initiating and implementing business improvements.  Play a key part in coordinating a rolling program of works across assets, including reporting, budget management, planning, and delivery using project management framework. Provide expert advice and recommendations to ensure quality, safety and value outcomes for Council. Manage effective working relationships and deliver timely reporting on progress of program schedules.

Parks up to June 2025

Coordinate the programming, resourcing and delivery of parks capital projects, whilst collaborating with planning and delivery teams to ensure on time and within budget outcomes. Investigate complex requests and provide guidance and advice on operational issues and progress on project schedules. Monitor, manage and report on project expenditure, scope, delivery, timing, risks, and issues using sound project management methodology principles. Coordinate and liaise with a variety of stakeholders and prepare and present documentation in line with established governance requirements.

 Structures up to February 2025

Plan and deliver major and minor project schedules of asset management works for structures including bridges, culverts, boardwalks, ferry terminals, retaining walls, sea and river walls, and wharves Jetties and pontoons.

Coordinate the programming, resourcing and delivery of structural capital projects, whilst collaborating with planning and delivery teams to ensure on time and within budget outcomes. Investigate complex requests and provide guidance and advice on operational issues and progress on project schedules. Monitor, manage and report on project expenditure, scope, delivery, timing, risks, and issues using sound project management methodology principles. Coordinate and liaise with a variety of stakeholders and prepare and present documentation in line with established governance requirements.

 To be successful you will have:

  • demonstrated high level program and project management skills  
  • knowledge of project coordination policies and procedures
  • experience in the planning, management and reporting of multiple schedules and related expenditure
  • demonstrated leadership capabilities within a values-based culture
  • highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills.

It is mandatory for the structures role to hold a certificate IV, diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience in the area of project management.
