Salary Range: (BAND 5) $91,900.00 - $ 104,172.00 per annum plus superannuation

(Remuneration stated is for full-time positions)

Our Branch

Employee Services, a key part of Support Services, manages Council’s HR processes, including recruitment, learning and development, and general HR functions. Our Learning and Development Services team provides Council employees with contemporary corporate learning programs, supporting their growth and capability. We collaborate with the business as trusted consultants, providing advice and guidance to identify and prioritise learning opportunities that align with specific business needs while considering the broader organisational priorities. Our team of learning and development professionals design, deliver, and coordinate initiatives to build the skills and knowledge of Council employees.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Learning and Development professional with a strong background in instructional design and facilitation to join our creative, dynamic team. Leverage your learning and development expertise to uplift the capabilities of our workforce across a range of power skill areas. By designing impactful training materials, facilitating engaging learning programs, and implementing effective evaluation and reporting strategies, you can contribute to the continuous growth and development of our employees.

Key responsibilities:

  • conducting research, needs analysis, instructional design, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions, including face-to-face, blended, and eLearning formats
  • partnering with stakeholders to meet their development needs
  • staying up-to-date with learning innovations and industry best practices
  • recommending continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the learning experience.

 To be successful in this position you will need:

  • proven experience in the full learning and development cycle, including analysis, instructional design, delivery, facilitation, and evaluation
  • strong knowledge of industry trends and learning innovations
  • familiarity with learning management systems
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.

Tertiary qualifications in adult learning and/or training and assessment are highly regarded. Join us to make a real impact on the development of Council employees!
