Our Branch
Organisational Services division supports, equips and helps guide Council to deliver the Brisbane Vision through centralised corporate services and a customer-focused approach.
Within Organisational Services, the Support Services branch provides Council's key support services under a centralised model. Our efficient back-of-house support ensures more resources can be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery. Support Services provides an enormous range of support to all areas of Council.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join us as the Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Manager. In this senior leadership role, you will drive the development and execution of recruitment strategies that align with Councils long-term goals, playing a key role in shaping the future of our recruitment efforts, ensuring the right talent is attracted to support the success of Brisbane Vision 2031. Central to success in this role is the ability to lead a dynamic, passionate team, empowering them to realise their full potential and deliver exceptional results.
About the Team
Reporting to the Manager- Employee Services, you will lead a diverse and highly skilled team committed to supporting Council leaders in attracting the talent necessary to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving city. As a strategic partner, you will empower team leads across various streams, enabling them to achieve successful outcomes while fostering continuous improvement within their teams.
About the Role
In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment strategy for more than 400 distinct roles across the Council. You will collaborate with senior leaders across Council to anticipate and plan for talent needs, ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet both current and future demands.
Utilising your exceptional communication skills to establish and nurture professional relationships, act as a trusted advisor, collaborate effectively with stakeholders and employ negotiation skills for mutually beneficial outcomes will see you succeed in this role.
You will also play a key role in supporting your team through periods of continual change, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to adapt to evolving recruitment needs. By fostering a culture of collaboration and alignment across business areas, you will contribute to a cohesive approach that drives success across the entire value stream.
