Salary Range: Band 6 AUD $108,005 - $119,507 per annum plus superannuation (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary Full-time (2 x positions available)

Duration: Up to 12 months

The Role 

The Compliance and Regulatory Services Branch are currently seeking two Supervisors to lead the Amenity Team and Taskforce against Graffiti Team. Within this role, you will lead, manage and coordinate a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for undertaking compliance functions in accordance with relevant state legislation and Local Laws and investigating and resolving requests for service.

We are seeking driven and dedicated leaders, who demonstrate the ability to build connection with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and who can respond to the changing needs of our people and customers in a positive way. In conjunction with your people leading abilities, you will also possess knowledge of regulatory compliance in Queensland.

About the Amenity Team

The Amenity Team is responsible for delivering a diverse range of services through professional investigation of matters relating to the Health Safety and Amenity Local Law such as unsightly properties, stagnant pools and abandoned vehicles.  

About the Taskforce against Graffiti Team

The Taskforce against Graffiti Team (TAG) was established to reduce the incidents of graffiti within Brisbane to help Council achieve its vision of a friendly, safe city. In partnership with the Queensland Police Service (QPS), TAG works to identify, apprehend and prosecute graffiti offenders. The team also works to support the community through the provision of graffiti removal and management advice and education.

To be successful you will have: 

  • demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture
  • excellent knowledge of the regulatory framework, in particular legislation, local laws, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines relating to local government licensing and regulatory compliance in Queensland
  • ability to foster a workplace culture that focuses on seamless service delivery and a cohesive team environment
  • current 'C' class driver's licence.
