Our Business
The Commercial Services & Business Improvement (CSBI) Branch's purpose is to drive improvement, agility, and resilience, by providing support to City Standards (CS) and more broadly across Brisbane Infrastructure (BI), making it easier and safer to deliver outcomes for the community.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Risk Officer you will undertake risk, assurance and reporting, business analysis, auditing and investigations to provide information enabling informed decision making within City Standard (CS). There are two strong focus areas of this role in addition to Risk management duties. These are
- undertaking work across the requirements of City Standards Management Systems in ISO 9001 – Quality, ISO 45001 - Occupational health and safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Undertaking work across and provision of solutions for specific document management systems including Knowledge Management, SharePoint, Blueworks, Integrated Management System Requirement and Records Manager.
This is an outward facing role that will see you working across business areas and working with field personnel up to senior management, strong communication skills are key. This position will require you to be adaptable and learn new skills to meet the evolving customer needs in a changing business environment. You will be agile and have the ability to pivot to between duties as and when required.
City Standards delivers civil construction and maintenance services to Brisbane City Council and as such, some travel is required to sites around Brisbane to conduct audits.
To be successful you will have:
- minimum two years’ experience in a similar position
- demonstrated experience across ISO accreditation requirements, continual assurance and business and risk management systems
- possess well-developed research, strategic, analytic, and problem-solving skills to analyse data and identify opportunities, trends, or anomalies
- strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders
