Personnel Area: Brisbane Infrastructure 

Branch: Fleet Solutions 

Salary Range: TRDC7 - $1590.20 per 38-hour week, plus super, penalties, leave, all PPE and allowances. 4 day working week. (Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary Full-time 

Duration: Up to April 2027 (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed).

Our Branch 

We provide full lifecycle management of fleet assets, helping Council to deliver services to the city of Brisbane. 

Our fleet includes a large range of assets including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, mobile lunchrooms, boats, excavators, road sweepers, forklifts, buggy's, pumps, generators, chainsaws, blowers, whipper snippers and mowers. 

The Role  

Bring your smash repair and panel beating skills and experience to assess, quote and repair plant and a variety of vehicles requiring body or panel repair. Work together with the maintenance team to ensure plant and vehicle standards are maintained, with safety at front of mind.  

Located onsite at Wacol, we are passionate about our customers and community, always looking to ensure value for money in all that we do.  

We love a good work life balance and at Fleet Solutions, our team work 4-day weeks, 0630 – 1630, meaning every week you will get a 3-day weekend.  

Paid overtime is also available for those who are interested. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • ability to communicate clearly, working as part of a diverse team  
  • a customer focus, with the ability to work well on your own 
  • ability to supervise apprentices and share your skills to support the team 
  • skills to complete administrative tasks related to the role 
  • experience in quoting on smash repairs on both vehicles and plant 
  • a Certificate Level III in Automotive Body Repair technology or equivalent 
  • a C class drivers’ licence.
