Salary Range: Band 7 - $123,340.00 – $134,848.00 per annum plus super 

(Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions) 

Work type: Temporary Full-time 

Duration: Up to July 2025 (Extension/s thereafter but not guaranteed). 

Our Branch  

Information Services Branch (ISB) is responsible for Council's information and communications technology (ICT) strategy, information management and service delivery. This team helps Council use ICT effectively to improve business functions and deliver benefits to the community. 

The Role  

Influence decisions and make recommendations on services fit for ISB, ICT, operational environment. Identify remediation required to achieve readiness, using your strong project management skills to guide and influence decision making in line with best value for Council. 

This role provides the vision, leadership, governance and expertise for the migration of ICT services from Project into Production. The successful applicant will manage the transition of releases into the (ICT) environment, ensuring that there is minimal operational risk to Council. Utilise your patience and strong interpersonal skills to govern, build strong stakeholder relationships and enforce service transition requirements, working with project and technical teams to meet transition and release deliverables. 

You will ensure projects follow a defined transition process, and each project team has identified any system interdependencies and risks that may have an adverse impact. Engage with relevant stakeholders from inception through to implementation to ensure transition and release management requirements are understood, considered and fulfilled. 

Take a proactive approach to the maintenance and continuous improvement in line with policies, processes, procedures, standards and guidelines to ensure quality and customer focus. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • proven ability to review and continually improve transition and release management processes, tools and services 
  • strength in developing effective reports, analysis of outputs and action recommendations 
  • ability to communicate with a passion for inspiring and motivating business partners, customers and external suppliers 
  • mature understanding of desktop technology and ICT infrastructure in a large, diverse and complex environment   
  • working experience with Visio and Helix and an understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) will be highly regarded.
