This role takes responsibility across Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety’s (WIS) information security program with specific focus on governance, risk and compliance across the relevant functions. You will be leading cyber security portfolio ensuring integrity internally while managing the risks with WIS brands’ (Blackwoods Group, Workwear Group, NZ Safety Blackwoods, and Coregas) third-party clients and suppliers.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and will be based onsite at Macquarie Park.

Some of the tasks of the role:

  • Lead the third-party vendor management program to identify and manage risks
  • Manage, maintain, and update relevant risk registers and dashboards
  • Collaborate enterprise risk management activities across relevant Wesfarmers businesses
  • Conduct information security audits to ensure compliance with external and internal policies, regulations, and standards
  • Manage the policy and compliance framework at a divisional level
  • Develop, implement, and lead cyber security awareness and training programs
  • Provide reporting and updates on cyber security to senior leadership

Some of the skills required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Security related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (preferably at analyst level or senior)
  • Sound knowledge of information security tools and technologies
  • Competent understanding of key risk frameworks (eg. NIST; ISO27001; ASD etc)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with all levels of business
  • Ability to partner with various stakeholders and bring people on a journey
  • Flexibility to work both collaboratively and autonomously
