As a Category Assistant, you will support the broader Mechanical Category Team with the execution of strategy and be an integral part of the compelling offering for customers. Collaborating with Product Managers and Suppliers, you will support with achieving commercial outcomes while leveraging competitive advantage.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and will be based onsite at Blackwoods National Office, Macquarie Park.
Some of the tasks:
- Support with the execution of the category strategy to enhance market presence
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to further develop Supplier relationships
- Assist the Sales Team with category proposition to support with category growth
- Research and evaluate the market and provide intelligence to the Category Team
- Support with ad-hoc administrative activities as required
Some of the skills:
- Interest in career development within Buying/Category across mechanical products
- Capability to work autonomously or in a team environment as needed
- Ability to problem solve and forward plan
- Resilience to learn and upskill within a fast-paced environment
- Competency in Microsoft Office (including excel)
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering advantageous
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering products desirable
