The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Services Officer to assist our Facilities Manager and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities management processes.

The Commercial Services Officer is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager to enable them to act as efficiently and effectively as possible in their role.

This role has primary responsibility for managing all property invoices, maintaining facilities databases and all the essential paperwork involved with keeping these systems up to date, as well as supporting queries from regional staff around how to best manage maintenance


Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive business, administrative, and finance support to the Facilities Manager as directed.

Maintenance Management: Assist regional staff with the management of maintenance requests, offering guidance and solutions as needed.

Process Improvement: Develop and maintain suitable systems and administrative processes related to facilities, participating in project/process improvement initiatives.

Issue Resolution: Proactively investigate and resolve any facilities-related issues or deviations from established processes.

Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective management of all Berry Street properties.


About you

As the Commercial Services Officer you will be self-motivated and capable of initiating and developing administrative systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to flexibly manage competing priorities and stressful situations while monitoring their own stress levels and promoting self-care strategies.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is essential, along with the ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new software systems.

Experience working for a Not-For-Profit/Community Services sector will be highly regarded.
