At Beechworth Health Service, we believe that quality care starts with committed people. We’re on the lookout for an experienced and values-driven Quality & Risk Manager to join our team and lead clinical governance, accreditation, and risk management across our acute, aged care, disability (NDIS), and community programs.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this is a pivotal leadership role ensuring that our health service meets all quality, compliance, and clinical risk obligations. You'll drive continuous improvement, support high-quality consumer outcomes, and champion a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation.

This role is instrumental in preparing for accreditation (NSQHS, Aged Care Standards, NDIS), leading root cause analysis, embedding the Statutory Duty of Candour, and building staff capability in quality and risk practices. You’ll work closely with consumers, governance committees, and executive leaders to ensure safe, person-centred care every day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading accreditation and compliance efforts across multiple care settings
  • Embedding the Victorian Clinical Governance Framework into everyday practice
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives using data, audits, and consumer feedback
  • Leading risk identification, mitigation, and reporting (including RCA and Duty of Candour)
  • Supporting a just culture, clinical education, and capability development
  • Contributing to cyber-security and psychosocial risk strategies as part of broader governance
  • Partnering with consumers to co-design better health experiences

What You’ll Bring

  • AHPRA registration in a health-related field
  • Demonstrated experience in quality and risk management in healthcare
  • Strong working knowledge of NSQHS, Aged Care, NDIS, and community care standards
  • Leadership skills in clinical governance, data analysis, and compliance reporting
  • Experience partnering with consumers and supporting staff education
  • Familiarity with RiskMan or similar risk/incident systems (highly regarded)
