Where do you want to go?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sample Preparation Technician to join our existing team at our Residues Lab, located at Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane. This is a permanent part-time role, 3 days per week.

This position is responsible for the homogenisation and extraction of laboratory samples derived from GLP field residue studies in preparation for analysis by Chemists to produce data for product registration purposes. The position is also responsible for laboratory housekeeping and calibration and maintenance of basic laboratory instruments.

Do something that moves you.

  • To homogenise and extract test samples provided from field residue study sites under the supervision of Chemists, including the recording and completion of associated GLP documentation.
  • Preparation of laboratory solutions as required.
  • Ensure the laboratory and sample preparation areas are kept clean and orderly.
  • Maintain basic laboratory equipment and perform necessary calibrations

  • This is a physically demanding position; therefore, the applicant must be deemed, via a pre-employment medical to be physically fit to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
  • Must not be allergic to plant materials.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use sharp and fast-moving laboratory instruments.
  • Preferably you will have experience working in a lab within a quality environment
  • An understanding of OH&S
