Where do you want to go?

Be part of our Radiology ANZ R&D team, developing mechanical design components and assemblies as required by the R&D Manager and the product portfolio plan of the Radiology business unit. Contribute to mechanical and system design architectures for Radiology medical device product families.

Maintain existing mechanical designs for current products within the portfolio in line with the Life Cycle Engineering program. Liaise with Radiology mechanical and systems engineering teams in Pittsburgh and local sites.


Do something that moves you.

  • Design and implement mechanical design of components and assemblies to support Radiology business product development
  • Design and maintain mechanical assemblies and components in line with the Life Cycle Engineering program for existing products
  • Keep up to date with the latest manufacturing and software technologies for both prototyping and production
  • Build, test and verify new mechanical components
  • Plan and document all activities as per company policies
  • Participate in the implementation, verification and maintenance of the risk management files for Radiology products
  • Contribute to mechanical system and platform architectures for Radiology injector systems
  • Ensure to conform to TGA, CE Mark, and EN ISO 13485:2016 guidelines associated with product development
  • Contribute to new product development deliverables
  • Contribute to mechanical architecture and platform design for Radiology global products
  • Take the lead at Rydalmere site to promote standardized mechanical system and 3D design and documentation practice among both R&D and PS engineers
  • Work with Radiology R&D teams in US to ensure that mechanical development outputs conform to Bayer and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the timely completion of new development projects
  • Maintain existing product mechanical components in conjunction with Product Supply


Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor of Mechatronics and Robotics or Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent
  • Direct experience in mechanical component and assembly design in a regulated environment
  • Mechanical CAD skills in a common package such as SolidWorks or ProE
  • Needs to be comfortable developing mechanical component and assembly designs for use in a medical device with a medium risk profile
