The Radiology Applications Specialist role supports the Commercial operations of the Radiology business through pre and post sales technical education and optimization of the power injection and contrast media protocols, patient care equipment and digital workflow solutions. The position holder is responsible for providing support to HCP evaluations of solutions, product presentations and demonstrations and post-sale education and follow up for end user customers. When optimized, the Applications Specialist position enhances customer satisfaction and the user experience with Bayer's Radiology product portfolio as well as the overall commercial performance of the business.

Our products and services help to diagnose numerous conditions and can guide procedures such as surgery, biopsy and radiation therapy, as well as helping monitor treatment success. These aim to support the complex decision-making process of radiologists while helping patients through earlier disease management and interventions.

Applications Specialists translate the value of Bayer’s solutions into tangible clinical benefits for our customers. This is achieved through customer consultation with the aim of improving their workflow, efficiency, patient safety and image quality. As subject matter experts across Bayer’s portfolio (capital devices, contrast media, radiology informatics digital solutions), this role is fundamental to knowledge transfer both internally and externally, facilitating the co-creation of radiology solutions with healthcare providers.

In this role you will support the Commercial operations of the Radiology business through pre and post sales technical education, the optimisation of the power injection and contrast media protocols, patient care equipment and digital workflow solutions.

You will be responsible for providing support to HCP evaluations of solutions, product presentations and demonstrations and post-sales education and follow up for end user customers. 

Key tasks

  • Provide advanced applications (clinical and technical) support and training for end users to optimise the end user experience across the entire Bayer portfolio of products.
  • Internal product training and certification of Bayer staff.
  • Provide product training and accreditation across the Bayer portfolio of products for both internal stakeholders as well as maintaining training records.
  • Provide clinical consulting services to healthcare professionals and end users.
  • Collaborate with Customer Squads and Product Teams to formulate and develop internal and external training materials to help drive the business in accordance with our Business and Marketing Strategies.
  • Participate in conferences, trade shows and other industry activities in support of commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Applications Community to help maximise our efforts in training matters, best practice sharing and capability transfer.
  • Comply with local pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory bodies as well as adhere to the Bayer’s ethical business practices and code of conduct.   

Does this sound like you?

To be successful in the role:

  • Degree qualified in Scientific/Medical field. Previous experience in Radiography or Medical Physics will be highly regarded
  • Proven experience in healthcare industry with knowledge of radiology informatics and digital solutions
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • High level presentation skills with any previous training experience also highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with, influence and educate a range of clinical stakeholders
  • High level of motivation and ability to deliver outstanding customer service to a diverse customer base
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and focus on contributing to wider organisational outcomes
  • The ability to work flexibly with competing priorities and deadlines and maintain strong internal relationships to support business activities
  • Hold a full drivers license
