Where do you want to go?

We are seeking an experienced Customer Marketing Manager to join the Vegetable Marketing team at Bayer CropScience. Working in a hybrid environment you will split your time between the Hawthorn East office and working from home. This position is offered on a fixed term contract to cover parental leave, commencing April 2023.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing marking plans and programs to support our Vegetable brand (De Ruiter and Seminis) portfolio strategy across ANZ, which will see you build upon brand equity, maximize profitability and support us to earn the number one position with customers.

With a focus on the protected vegetable crops market (Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Capsicums etc) you will understand the nuance of tactical marketing to our target group which includes Growers, Distributers, Resellers, Produce Marketers and Wholesalers.

This role will provide you with a mix of classical marketing work, brand management and digital engagement. You will own the development, implementation and improvement of key programs and have the ability to manage your own workload.

Reporting to the APAC Marketing Lead, you will work closely with the wider marketing, sales and market development teams to ensure our programs and offers best meet our customer needs. 

Direct responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining product collateral, production calendar and library, including updates to guides and product information.
  • Working with the wider marketing team to translate commercial strategy (brand strategy and customer experience plan) into innovative, customer focused programs.
  • Collaborating with the Sales and Commercial teams on marketing material requirements and liaising with design agency partners to develop and produce materials.
  • Deliver event specific collateral on trial information and help produce trial and event guides
  • Provide support as required at field days, trade shows and innovation events
  • Support new variety introduction launches, with collateral requirements, along with maintaining product profiles on the De Ruiter and Seminis websites
  • Produce written content including articles, profile pieces, advertisements, technical information sheets, media releases and direct mail campaigns.
  • Lead the execution of digital strategy and social media campaigns for the portfolio
  • Producing reports and tracking KPIs and metrics for your portfolio

Does this sound like you?

  • Proven hands-on marketing experience within a B2B/B2C environment
  • Marketing experience within Vegetables, Seeds or the agricultural sector is essential
  • Experience using Adobe Creative suite, Pardot and Salesforce as a CRM
  • Strong skills in copywriting, editing and collateral production
  • Experience managing digital platforms
  • Ability to take data and interpret it, to provide insights to drive business decisions
  • Capability to influence others
  • Be results orientated and a self motivator
