Where do you want to go?

Be responsible for promoting cross-functional medical leadership to local Business Unit in order to accomplish a high level of commercial success. Alongside providing medical scientific support to regulatory, pharmacovigilance (PV), medical information (MI) clinical operations and market access teams in assigned therapeutic/product areas.

Ensure that marketing and sales functions have appropriate medical scientific support and training. Review process of promotional materials according to the global SOP and Medicines Australia Code of Conduct compliance. In addition ensure that business partners work within the boundaries of the current internal standards and external guidelines.

  • Managing medical affairs study related activities
  • Support Business Units in transforming medical data into marketing strategy
  • Work closely with other members of the medical team to support the business
  • Thought leader management
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers (marketing and sales) and with regional and/or global Medical Affairs
  • Provide development project and product training internally to marketing and sales functions and externally to doctors
  • Support and educate internal customers in compliance with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
  • Support of Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance/ Med. Info, Clinical Operations and Market Access Groups and provide medical and scientific expertise
  • Exchange and dissemination of scientific, educational, and research related information through face-to-face medical interactions and participation in congresses and conferences while communicating key insights from Thought Leaders to cross-functional team
  • Interact with Medical Societies and organize or facilitate Advisory Boards
  • Coordination of Scientific Education Activities: plan and organize scientific training and education events / sessions with Thought Leaders within their specific therapeutic area or product
  • Identification / profiling / segmentation and strategy and engagement planning in alignment with Medical and Integrated Thought Leader Management (ITLM) plan

Does this sound like you?

  • Good understanding of clinical medicine
  • University degree in medicine, pharmacy and/or PhD
  • Direct experience, within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in relevant therapeutic area medical affairs preferred
  • Good understanding of marketing procedures in pharmaceutical industry (incl. Medicines Australia Code of Conduct)
  • Skills to set up and increase customer relationships
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
