The Customer Insights Manager leads the development and delivery of actionable insights and market intelligence to support data-driven approaches to improve our understanding of our customers and enhance our customer connect.

Contribute to the development of annual marketing and company budgetary planning processes, driving cross-portfolio baseline and assumption management to define and monitor Bayer’s position within ANZ Agricultural markets.

Major tasks and responsibilities

Customer insights

  • Identify customer insight priorities within the ANZ country-cluster (e.g., customer needs, journeys, buying behavior, etc.) to support value propositions and brand activations, advertising, campaign development and campaign executions.
  • Design, develop and implement customer insights programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, to capture insights into product / service experience, expectations, and unmet needs to support new product launches and Life Cycle Management of key molecules.
  • Manage the end-to-end Voice of Customer and Voice of Partner customer insights research program.
  • Transform market intelligence into insights that can be activated through cross functional tactics (e.g., marketing campaigns, sales planning process).
  • Support Brand Managers with analysis of market intelligence to gain a clear and deep understanding of market opportunities and customer segments.
  • Support commercial business functions e.g., Market Development Agronomists, with data collection and interpretation techniques to capture insights, extract value and drive strategic decisions.

Business Intelligence

  • Leadership of business intelligence for short and long-range forecast / market guidance; drive consumption and utilisation of data across commercial business to ensure alignment.
  • Generate market analysis to support sound business decisions and strategic planning processes, ensuring timely delivery of accurate data into company reporting systems/platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of annual market and company budgets in ANZ

Does this sound like you?

  • Extensive experience in translating data and information into insights.
  • Demonstrable experience in a marketing and/or business/financial environment directly related to market research and project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed IT skills including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using market research software such as Qualtrics.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across ANZ Marketing, Commercial functions and external partners
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills

Preferred:

  • Business related tertiary qualifications preferably with a major in quantitative analysis, statistics & research.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise business intelligence / data visualisation tools e.g., Tableau, PowerBI and/or market research platforms e.g., Qualtrics.
  • Knowledge of the agriculture market is advantageous.
  • Budget management and reporting experience.
