Motorman

We are looking for Expressions of Interest in Motorhand roles, with the confirmation of location yet to be determined. Most likely the point of hire will be Brisbane or Toowoomba, so you would be required to make your own way to the point of hire, where you will then be transported to the site location and camp. You are a highly capable Motorman with at least 5 years practical experience working on oil and gas rigs in remote on-shore locations. Ideally you possess a Cert III in Drilling Oil/Gas (on shore) and have aspirations to progress into more senior leadership roles.

Please be advised that all candidates must submit a current National Police Clearance and pass a comprehensive Medical Assessment including drug and alcohol screening.

 General Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintenance and operation of the rigs motors.

• Equipment maintenance and testing around the rig to ensure smooth functioning of equipment.

• Performing preventative maintenance as outlined in maintenance manuals, including maintaining and lubricating machinery to keep it running efficiently.

• Assist with rig up and down along with moving drilling and well service type rigs.

• Effective supervision and mentoring of subordinate roles such as Lease & Floorhand crew members.

• Must be able to work in challenging physical conditions for sustained periods of time and be comfortable working at heights.

Be able to demonstrate safety and awareness when operating machinery on the rig site (Loader Operation)

Essential Qualifications

IWCF Level 2 (IWCF Driller Level 3 an advantage)

Certificate III in Drilling Oil/Gas (on shore) (Certificate III in Well Servicing an advantage)

• Industry Safety Induction (ISI) Safer Together

• Undertake First Response to Fire

• Operate Breathing Apparatus

• Apply First Aid (including CPR)

• Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

• Working at Heights

• Permit to Work - Holder (Authority an advantage)

• Front End Loader

• Awareness of Chain of Responsibility Regulations (an advantage)

• Load/Unload goods/cargo (an advantage)

• Current Drivers License
