Your Role

The Business Analyst (BA) is a key member of the project delivery team responsible for driving business requirements, starting with the business capability, and working down through business sub capability to detailed business requirements.

Responsibilities for this versatile role will include but are not limited to addressing stakeholder requests, gathering and defining requirements, and defining new process improvement opportunities. Work within a dynamic group of BAs and PMs in the successful implementation of projects within the agreed scope, timeframe and budget.

Reporting to the Head of Program Management Office, you will have responsibility for understanding and documenting business needs in order to gather the necessary information to propose and implement solutions across the Bank. The BA will be able to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and the maintenance of a collaborative and supportive work environment, while supporting various objectives and project deadlines.

In addition, the BA is to assist in the reporting, testing and implementation of vendor requested program fixes or database corrections, and additional modules and modifications.

About You

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in similar role or equivalent essential.
  • Awareness of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall Project Management and Software Development Methodologies.
  • Experience with toolsets including Jira and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Solid understanding of the banking industry, supporting structures and technology infrastructure.
  • Ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels
  • Good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development life cycle.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills.
  • An appreciation of both program management and business strategy.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering.
