Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping the financial strategy of our retail bank. You will be responsible for comprehensive financial modeling, profitability analysis, and strategic reporting, ensuring that our financial practices align with the bank's goals and regulatory requirements.

In this position, you'll handle a range of financial functions, including creating and maintaining the bank’s 5-year Long-Term Financial Model and analysing data to generate actionable insights for stakeholders. You'll assess product profitability, manage operating expenses in line with the budget, and conduct Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling while preparing relevant documentation for the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO). Additionally, you'll update the NIM calculator monthly, prepare finance board reports, and contribute to capital planning and climate reporting. Collaboration with the Data Analytics team to enhance reporting processes, lead software improvement projects, and perform adhoc analyses will also be key parts of your responsibilities, ensuring that all financial activities align with the bank's strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with an advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g. CIMA, CFA, CPA or CA) required. They should bring at least 5 years of retail banking experience, showcasing strong skills in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting. Advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of a bank’s balance sheet, profit and loss drivers, and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects. Experience with ERP system implementation and familiarity with data analytics platforms are a plus.
