Softball Australia is the national governing body for softball in Australia, responsible for the management, coordination, development and promotion of softball, Australia wide. With a thriving community of players, coaches and supportive fans, Softball Australia hosts ground-breaking events and programs, whilst running the high-performance sector of the sport and curating participation from the grass-root levels to elite success.
Softball Australia is embarking on an ambitious and exciting new strategy and as a result, are currently seeking to recruit a ‘Content and Communications Coordinator’.
About the role:
The primary purpose of this position is to be the key coordinator of communications for Softball Australia and Member States/Territories.
The key focus for the position is to coordinate and deliver content and communications with the objective of keeping members and stakeholders informed. The Content & Communications Coordinator is aligned with an organisational focus on increasing participation through the various programs and increasing brand-growth opportunities through our owned events and representative teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining a content calendar and story list
- Drafting and publishing content for a wide variety of communication needs across a range of platforms
- Management from concept to delivery of various media events such as launches, photo opportunities and media announcements including the development of event schedules and running orders.
- Oversee the social media presence of Softball Australia through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn in collaboration with the Social Media contractor.
About you:
We are looking for a self-motivated person with strong interpersonal skills.
As an individual you are a creative thinker, highly ambitious, and have a keen interest in ‘Content and Communications’.
Ideally you will have:
- A relevant qualification
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining media and stakeholder relationships.
- An understanding of digital marketing and social media, including measurements and metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent organisational and computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft desktop products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Google Analytics would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with photography and videography a bonus
