The Opportunity 

The role of Training Specialist is to execute the organizational training strategy within the Employment Services and Complementary Programs. You will assist with content design, implementation and delivery of all training materials as well as undertake a lead role in outcome assessment and all continual improvement activities. You will work closely with the National Training Manager to report and discuss suggestions for creative improvement captured from relevant stakeholders and Business units.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Deliver training materials in line with the requirements of the relevant Training Package and/or contractual requirements 
  • Ensure all training materials and plans have been approved by the National Training Manager in accordance with Asuria policies and procedures prior to delivery 
  • Deliver training and assessment in a diverse range of environments including workplace, and online 
  • Deliver structured training sessions that are enjoyable and engaging for a diverse range of learning styles and reflect contemporary adult learning approaches including digital and social media 
  • Create and facilitate opportunities for learners to develop digital literacy to meet current industry practices 
  • Adapt the course resources, pace of delivery and style as required to ensure effective delivery & maximise each participants experience 
  • Report any identified perceived or potential risks and issues that may impact on the successful implementation of the learning deliverables 
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate training standards and outcomes, communicating any and all feedback from Business Units to the National Training Manager

  • Experience with learning management systems and Software for content creation 
  • Accredited Mental Health First Aid trainer; preferred but not essential 
  • Accredited conflict resolution trainer; preferred but not essential 
  • Cert IV in Employment Services; preferred but not essential 
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment; preferred but not essential 
  • A related tertiary qualification is a distinct advantage 

Note: This role can be based at any Asuria office in Melbourne or Sydney.
