ASICS have an exciting, newly created opportunity as Ecommerce Merchandise Manager in our Direct to Consumer (DTC) department. This is a key leadership role, responsible for implementing the ecommerce merchandise strategy to enhance conversation rates, sales, profitability and customer experience.

Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, this position will be responsible for essential functions including the online product assortment, pricing strategies, promotional activities, campaign activations, and personalisation, all of which are vital to growing online sales. You will be key to formulating and executing strategic online initiatives that drive our digital success.

So, what goes into making that happen? 

Online Merchandisng and Continuous Enhancements

  • Building and implementing strategic personalisation programs, leveraging ASICS’ customer data platform and your conversion rate optimization knowledge to build tailored web experiences
  • Managing the evolution of an effective user experience that drives high customer satisfaction and repeat purchase
  • Analysing sales data to understand customer behaviour and preferences, optimising online assortment for better performance, while working on strategies to enhance the customer's online shopping experience
  • Defining and enhancing online product assortments to meet customer demands and business targets, ensuring a comprehensive online range
  • Collaborating with Planning and Buying to develop and execute online category strategies and lifecycle management plans, establishing a clear value proposition
  • Prepare and analyse raw data from multiple sources, highlighting insights to facilitate fact-based decisions that drive our continuous enhancements program
  • Shaping and implementing the DTC-Ecommerce strategy, focusing on a cohesive experience across all digital and customer touchpoints, both online and in-store
  • Enhancing the online customer journey by reducing friction points, managing personalisation features and tailoring the experience
  • Managing and maintaining eCommerce platforms, working closely with local and global teams to refine solutions and deliver enhancements
  • Conducting reviews of structured product taxonomy to facilitate efficient site navigation
  • Managing online pricing and promotional activities to strategically bolster performance and meet financial objectives

Marketing and Activations

  • Work with customer acquisition and digital marketing leads to deliver targeted campaigns via paid media, affiliate marketing, EDM and social initiatives
  • Support the growth of our OneASICS Loyalty program through effective engagement strategies, connecting with the ‘Lifetime Athlete’ concept, growing customer lifetime value
  • Uphold brand guidelines and high-quality product information standards across all digital channels
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to retail operations

That’s enough about us! Here’s what we hope to see from you: 

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in an ecommerce or online merchandising role with successful track-record in conversion rate optimisation
  • Prior people management experience, with strong leadership and team development/capability building skills
  • Experience analysing marketing campaigns and traffic patterns, user journeys and measuring these against business objectives
  • Proficiency with BI, CRO and web analytics tools such as GA, Looker Studio, Tableau, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud, Hotjar, Dynamic Yield, Certona (or similar)
  • Previous experience working with Ecommerce teams and trading platforms (SFCC, SFMC preferred)
  • Extensive experience in customer journey analytics and data-driven marketing, in addition to customer segmentation, audience profiling, personalisation and targeting
  • Experience with multivariate testing to improve KPIs such as conversion optimisation
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with internal teams
  • Experience building and executing successful Ecommerce plans that are creative, and data driven, relevant, and tailored to online audiences
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior time management skills, with a proven record in delivering results in an agile environment
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to get creative and think outside the box
  • Intermediate – Advanced MS Office skill set
  • Ability to establish priorities, procedures and policies effectively under ambiguity
  •  Ability to accelerate business performance while laying down process and operational fundamentals
