ASICS have an exciting and rare opportunity to join our Sales team as National Accounts Manager (sports style). This is a dedicated sales role, responsible for driving sales growth whilst maintaining market share, managing account strategy, and developing strong relationships with our customers Buying and Marketing teams to create win-win opportunities.
So, what goes into making that happen?
- Responsible for managing the strategic direction of designated sports style accounts
- Developing and implementing account plans to maximise sales
- Implementing brand strategies for national accounts in line with the Sales Channel Plan, providing input into the Channel Plan
- Management of co-op funds
- Management of approval process for group catalogues illustrations and narratives
- Liaison with accounts to ensure that in store point of sales is maximised and maintained to the highest standard
- Facilitate and coordinate product training for all national accounts
- Managing relationships with all current and potential accounts, including executive personnel both at head office and at store level
- Planning and developing the strategy to grow share within the various merchandise departments
- Keeping informed on company contract procedures and products/service pricing
- Keeping up to date with market and competitor intelligence
- Recommending solutions in preparation of account contracts, including account negotiations

That’s enough about us! Here’s what we hope to see from you:
- Proven track record in sales ideally in the sporting/fashion brand industry with major accounts
- Experience in field-based sales, with a history of overachieving targets, preferably in new business acquisition
- Experience in developing account plans consistent with the marketing strategy and the business direction
- Ability to commit to cyclical local and interstate travel to service accounts and business relationships
- Great communication and rapport building skills
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- A disciplined and professional approach to sales
- Familiarity using processes and systems (Microsoft Office, Excel intermediate, SAP desirable)
- Ability to deliver results in an agile and fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to maximise customer retention through developing relationships with national accounts
- High level of strategic thinking and identifying key opportunities within the marketplace
