About the role

Allocate and monitor the daily workload for each team member, ensuring they accurately interpret the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive Programme (AAIP) guidelines on employer and Australian Apprentice (AA) incentives and entitlements.

Ensure the team provides professional, courteous, and helpful customer service to internal and external ASA clients.

Assist COM with administrative and leadership duties as required, act as second in charge to COM, and provide support and advice to ASA staff on day-to-day issues of contractual compliance.

 Assume accountability for the management and leadership of staff to deliver the objectives outlined in the business plan, ensuring all tasks, activities, and services are undertaken in a professional, accurate, and responsive manner.


About you

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in managing a high-volume front-line claims operation and a proven track record in overseeing administrative and compliance teams. They must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret Government guidelines and VET legislation. Proficiency in MS Office and external databases is essential. The candidate should also be capable of leading and motivating a team, driving improvements, enhancing capabilities, and embedding change. Strong business acumen is required for managing operational workflows, along with thorough knowledge of claims management models, controls, and compliance. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders is crucial, as are excellent customer service skills. Additionally, the candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills to handle complex issues and convey them clearly. Lastly, they should be able to provide support and assistance to team members.
