About the role:

We are seeking an Employment Coach to provide guidance and mentoring to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve meaningful employment outcomes. This role involves facilitating both group and individual learning sessions, tailoring content and delivery to match each person’s learning style and needs. The Employment Coach will also handle documentation and reporting related to Employment Assistance, ensuring information is captured and communicated accurately and promptly. A collaborative and consultative approach is essential to align with Aruma’s purpose and values and effectively support our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a fun and positive workplace culture that reflect our values, contributing to excellent team results
  • Actively perform within the Employment Assistance success framework, maintaining Aruma’s National Approach to Employment Assistance, and NDIS standards
  • Support Employment Assistance customers effectively with a tailored approach to goal setting and learning, to progress to work readiness
  • Develop effective and professional internal and external working relationships, to support ongoing success in individuals onboarding into Employment Assistance and achieving their employment related goals
  • Capture, record and communicated timely and accurately all new Employment Assistance related detail and data including all application forms, Service Agreements and Schedules of Support.
  • Accurately transfer data and information including participant detail, SOS and billing data resulting in the recipient including Billing team being accurately informed
  • Timely upload and reporting of data, reports and information led to businesses and relevant stakeholders being timely informed, including SCOUT, billing and business support systems
  • Contact all major government and educational institutions such as schools, TAFE and Universities and advise of Aruma’s employment pathways, building excellent relationships with the relevant stakeholders
  • Provide Excellent customer service led to growth in Aruma brand and reputation.

About You:

  • Experience or interest in education or training within the disability industry, or other person related industry
  • Demonstrated experience in supported individuals to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to negotiate and manage conflict, escalating where necessary
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within the community and industry networks
  • Excellent administration skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent computer literacy and the ability to learn new programs/systems, including demonstrated experience using Microsoft suite of programs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated solution focused thinking, including initiative in developing innovative approaches to content delivery
  • Ability to travel when required across a regional area
  • Be willing to travel as required across Aruma sites as well as support individuals in non-Aruma workplaces.  
  • Experience working in the disability sector
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (unrestricted) and willingness to use own vehicle (if required) with comprehensive insurance.
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
