Your Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapy to join our team working at our Bayswater site and in community. You will work in a trans-disciplinary team of professionals, committed to family centred practice. The role is leadership based as well as clinical.
The Senior Occupational Therapy will contribute to clinical supervision and guidance to the Occupational Therapy team. They will oversee and ensure positive and professional relationships with individuals and their families are maintained and desired outcomes in line with business standards and best practice.
This role is flexible - Full Time or Part Time will be considered.
A day in the life of a Senior Occupational Therapy
- Lead and develop the Occupational Therapy Team within Aruma providing high level leadership and guidance to clinical staff as required.
- Provide effective coordination and efficient management of Occupational Therapy services including monitoring KPIS and staff professional goals, managing client wait list and scheduling as well as contributing to budget forecasting and management.
- Provide representation for Occupational Therapy in clinical, professional and organisational matters as required.
- Contribute to clinical leadership and professional supervision, guidance, mentoring and professional development within the area of responsibility.
- Conduct complex clinical assessments as required by the business.
- Mentoring of team members in the knowledge of typical childhood and atypical development and its applications in children with Autism
- Provide assistance and support to staff in implementing Family Centred Practice policies and evaluating outcomes.
About you
- Commitment to Aruma’s Strategic Intent, Purpose, Values and Code of Conduct
- Appropriate Occupational Therapy Qualification and current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience, including some paediatric experience in the area of disability
- Eligibility for Medicare provider number
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Mircosoft Office and Outlook
- High level negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, as well as external business partners.
