About the role:

Join Aruma, a dynamic and inclusive business located in Warabrook, NSW, dedicated to providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We are seeking a full-time Metal Fabricator to be part of our dedicated team at Aruma Manufacturing.

As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, focusing on the manufacturing and customization of metal products for various industries, including construction and mining. You will provide effective supervision and support, ensuring high-quality standards and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coach and lead manufacturing team, sharing knowledge to assist supported employees to develop skills to achieve their employment goals.
  • Provide supervision and feedback to team members through performance management with the support of the Supervisor/Coordinator.
  • Provide appropriate support to supported employees with a high level of empathy, sensitivity and confidentially. 
  • Work closely and provide assistance to the Supervisor/Coordinator as necessary.
  • Display positive team behaviours that reflect the Aruma values, contributing to team results and outcomes.

About you:

  • Formal qualifications in relevant metal fabrication industry or relevant trade. 
  • Experienced leader/supervisor with strong communication skills to coordinate a small team.
  • Demonstrate respect and empathy towards people with a disability with a passion to see them skilled for future employment opportunities.
  • Customer focused with commitment to delivering high quality products and services for Aruma’s commercial customers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Sharepoint).
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in alignment with Aruma’s core values and Code of Conduct.
  • A current Australian driver’s license 
  • Have NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check clearance OR be willing to complete
  • Have a current First aid and CPR Certificate OR be willing to complete
