About the Role:
As a strong and visionary leader, you’ll oversee our Home & Living services in Townsville, ensuring your team is engaged, high-performing, and aligned with Aruma’s mission. Your strategic management skills and authentic leadership style will be key in creating a supportive environment for both staff and customers.
About You:
- You bring at least 5 years of experience in a middle management role, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams, ideally in the disability services sector.
- You have relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Diploma in Individual Support, Cert IV in Individual Support/Business Management, or equivalent.
- You have a strong passion for human rights, outstanding customer service, and creating lasting positive change through leadership.
- You thrive on mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, helping individuals reach their full potential.
- Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to be an influential voice and inspire others.
- You lead with empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of diverse perspectives.
- You excel in team collaboration and have a natural ability to bring out the best in people.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a dedicated team to deliver high-quality disability services, focused on customer service excellence and continuous team growth.
- Develop and Mentor: Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for your team, fostering a positive, high-performing, and motivated work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Take ownership of key management responsibilities, including budgets, rosters, and team performance against strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Human Rights & Person-Centred Care: Champion human rights-based, person-centred practices in your team’s approach, ensuring the highest level of support for individuals with disabilities.
- Leadership in Action: Navigate and lead multiple systems, ensuring effective coordination and communication to support the team’s success and operational targets.
