  • Be part of a fun, supportive team culture with passionate individuals doing great work in a flexible environment

Founded in March 2019 and headquartered in Melbourne, we are a leading technology consulting business specialising in digital transformation for mid-size, government and enterprise businesses. Our origins are in AI and we proudly deliver marketing-leading AI solutions to customers in partnership with Microsoft, as one of their top AI partners.

With 5 Microsoft partner solution designations and 9 specialisations, we are the fastest-growing strategic partner of Microsoft ANZ and winner of the 2023 Microsoft ANZ Azure Partner of the Year Award. We are also among the few GitHub Verified Partners in the ANZ region.

Our Co-Ops team is a cloud-managed services capability that provides operational support and enhancement services to our customers. We support Azure cloud customers only, and we pride ourselves on being technical experts and solving problems at scale.

The Arinco Co-Ops team is a modern take on a Managed Service. Our team is not an entry-level team but a destination of choice. Whilst we provide the essential services of a managed service (24x7, Incident, Problem, change etc), we also provide our customers with the ability to develop/enhance and build new Azure services and enhancements within the Co-Ops team. We base our service around ITIL, DORA and SRE, however there is an opportunity to improve our SRE offerings and practices.

Typically, our consultants perform as much build and enhancement work as managed services support. This is a great opportunity to perform in a DevOps role.

This position is for an SRE lead within the Co-Ops teams, aimed at offering technical guidance and support to both customers and team consultants, fostering their success.

What the role involves:

  • Performing architectural reviews and identifying and implementing uplifts and modernisation opportunities for customer technology
  • Provide level 3 support to our Managed Services customers
  • Provide paid on-call/after-hours support for Major Incidents on a rotating roster
  • Provide Azure enhancement, build and development services to our customers
  • Standing up SRE principles and practices and applying these to customer environments and processes.
  • Applying an automate-everything approach to customer platforms for reliability at scale
  • Hardening the security posture of customer environments
  • Perform and automate security posture and FinOps reporting and reviews
  • Build, configure and deploy IaC pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform)
  • Contribute to Arinco’s engineering practices, standards and frameworks. You will work closely with the Tech Leads and tech community

Some of the tech we support and enhance (you don’t need to know all of these):

  • Microsoft Azure
  • Active Directory B2C
  • Azure API Management, Application Gateway
  • Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Container Registry
  • Logic Apps, Function Apps
  • Azure Databases (SQL, PostgreSQL and others)
  • Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, Azure Bastion, Virtual Machines, Scale sets
  • Azure DevOps, GitHub and Terraform
  • Azure Pipelines, ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform
  • Monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Azure Application Insights

What you’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of SRE and why it's important
  • Senior-level experience with Microsoft Azure (3+ year’s experience)
  • Senior-level consulting experience (the ability to organise and run workshops, gather, document and scope customer requirements, deliver on the work, and oversee others doing the work)
  • Extensive experience developing, enhancing and deploying Azure Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Coding experience in one or more languages (.NET, C#, PowerShell) to develop new solutions for customers and automate everything

What we offer:

  • People first culture – We are an authentic and empowered crew, where everyone has a voice and we succeed together
  • Crew connection – Regular squad outings, Crew musters, social interest groups and Crew events
  • A focus on learning and development – Various internal initiatives and a $2,000 L&D budget for certifications, licences, conferences or anything else you need to grow
  • Tech done your way - We provide a $2,500 annual allowance for you to spend on the hardware or home office equipment of your choice

Please note:

  • We are an equal opportunity employer and we welcome all applications. Particularly those from underrepresented groups
  • At this stage, we are only able to consider candidates with unrestricted local working rights
  • We don’t require the assistance of recruitment agencies
