Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our fresh and creative team of Allied Health Professionals within Aged Care. Managing your own case load, you will be providing specialist intervention, education, and therapy services to Customers within Residential Aged Care.
Working closely with our established Dietitian and meal service, you can provide specialist interventions, along with education at our sites to further develop the service. This is a real opportunity for a therapist with enthusiasm and drive, to take this role and make it their own!
AnglicareSA offers a range of allied health services in Aged Care and Disability, providing therapists with diverse caseloads to enhance their skills and develop into well-rounded practitioners.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Assessing the needs of older customers in our Residential Aged care sites.
- Delivering evidence-based speech pathology intervention across a range of service areas including communication, swallowing, feeding and staff education.
- Participating in ongoing professional development, supervision, and peer mentoring.
- Contributing to the innovation and growth of speech pathology services to enable older people to live their lives to the fullest.
What do you need to bring?
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
- Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Sound knowledge of the ageing process, the principles of self-management and the promotion of positive ageing.
- Previous experience providing assessment and intervention to older people (desirable).
- Previous experience providing clinical supervision (desirable).
