Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is dedicated to supporting and empowering young individuals. Play a key role in training and enhancing AnglicareSA’ s Mentoring program by providing guidance and support to current Mentors whilst contributing to the design and delivery of programs that aim to improve outcomes for young people and their families.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Design, develop, deliver and review programs and activities focussed on emotional, physical, cultural, educational and behavioural development of young people
  • Train and build mentor capacity to support and work alongside young people and meet their needs in a trauma informed approach
  • Build and maintain working relationships with relevant agencies, teams and associations to share resources and coordinate connected services
  • Actively plan, participate and promote engagement with culturally empowering services and events such as NAIDOC
  • Champion a culture of youth advocacy and peer support for young people

What do you need to bring?

  •  Experience in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Development or equivalent experience is a necessity
  • Experience in mentoring or working with children and young people
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with children and young people with complex needs and from diverse backgrounds, as well as service providers
  • Experience of program design, development and coordination for children and young people is highly desirable
