Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a background in administrative support and a positive, proactive approach to delivering outstanding customer service. A calm demeanour and excellent problem-solving skills will be critical to your success in this role.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Keep lists current and ensure an adequate supply of forms.
  • Manage supplies of minor consumables.
  • Provide administrative support: filing, typing, data entry, scheduling, purchasing, processing invoices, mail coordination, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Coordinate use of common spaces and equipment.
  • Keep reception and waiting areas clean and tidy.
  • Assist with accounts processing, reconciliation, and petty cash transactions.
  • Prepare and bank cash receipts, handle donations, and respond to donors.
  • Respond to enquiries about services and programs in person and by phone.
  • Provide information on the organisation’s services.
  • Develop knowledge of Anglicare’s and other agencies’ services.
  • Keep updated information on services and community resources for staff and volunteers.
  • Offer a customer-focused, inclusive, and positive approach.
  • Follow reception and program processes as directed.
  • Coordinate with Facilities for building and grounds maintenance.
  • Report maintenance issues for property and equipment.
  • Work with ICT services to maintain site-wide communications.
  • Assist with financial tasks: petty cash, invoice management, cash handling, and banking.

What do you need to bring?

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and quick to learn new software (e.g., TechOne, RiskMan, ComCare).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience interacting with diverse clients.
  • Experience in community service settings with varied client groups.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, staff, and volunteers to foster a positive work culture.
  • Skilled in managing and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Knowledgeable in cash handling, ordering, stock management, and financial processes.
  • Proven ability to contribute positively to staff and volunteer engagement and operations.
  • Business Administration qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working directly with clients is a plus.
