Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a passionate, committed, and experienced Senior Youth Worker to provide intensive case management support to young people who are connected with AnglicareSA’ s Launch 180 – Leaving Care Program. As a natural people’s person, your role will be to support young people progressing towards independent living achieve their life goals by building strong relationships with them and understanding their aspirations, including education, employment and assist with future financial stability.
Our programs aim to ensure young people thrive and grow into confident adults as they transition through the care system and into intensively supported accommodation. You will be able to recognise and ensure the cultural identity, safety and voice of young people engaged with the program is at the centre of decisions made.

What can you expect to be doing?
- Support young people connected with Leaving Care Services who are currently under Guardianship of the Chief Executive transitioning into supported independent living.
- Ensure effective and intensive case management support is provided to assist and support a young person develop their independence and self-reliance across all life domains.
- Develop and review care plans to achieve mutually determined goals.
- Conduct ongoing risk and safety assessments for highly vulnerable young people.
What do you need to bring?
- Experience in Youth Work or Social Work
- Proven proficiency in working with diverse communities and cultures
- Proven understanding of the Child Protection and Out Of Home Care system
- Ability to work across a 7 day / 24-hour roster (7:30am-3:30pm / 3:00pm-11:00pm / passive overnight shift 10:45pm-7:45am)
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Child Services or Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Youth Work or Qualification in or attaining in Social Work, Psychology or other recognised Allied Health.
- Child Safe Environments Training
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate
- NPC / WWCC
- Willing to undergo a Psychological Suitability Assessment
- Current drivers licence and certified roadworthy vehicle
