Our dual-facility childcare centre at Daphne St in Prospect is unique as it functions as a 'mainstream' childcare centre and also an Autism Specific Early Learning Childcare Centre (ASELCC). We are seeking an experienced Early Learning Room Leader committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families. In this role you will be the Lead Educator for the classroom, liaising with parents, programming activities and looking after the health and safety of the children.

If you have experience working with children who have disabilities and experience with programming and documentation, then this role could be the role for you!

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate an education and care program specific to the needs of the children within the childcare centre.
  • Lead and act as a mentor to the Children's Services Educators within the early learning centre.
  • Facilitate and support the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and (where applicable) the Social Communication Emotional Regulation and Transactional Supports mode (SCERTS).
  • Liaise and maintain high level communication processes with all families.

What do you need to bring?

  • Diploma of Children's Service or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience planning creative activates for young children.
  • Confident and skilled at building relationships with parents and families.
  • Safe Environments for children training.
  • Provide First Aid Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker clearance, Working with Children Check and National Police clearance or willingness to obtain.
