This centre-based role is located at AnglicareSA's Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC), provides integrated early intervention, education, and therapy to children up to 6 years old within a specialised childcare environment. What can you expect to be doing?

  • Develop, implement and evaluate group-based therapy programs for children with ASD.
  • Lead, mentor, train, supervise and support fellow staff, participate in reviews and collaborate with leadership to identify areas of improvement.
  • Inform the multi-disciplinary team with advice, plans and strategies with regard to OT discipline specific related services to children within the program.
  • Support, guide and advise childcare staff in the delivery of small group programs.
  • Facilitate workshops to families and professionals in the ASD and education sectors.

What do you need to bring?

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • A broad knowledge of Occupational Therapy interventions and their application to children living with ASD.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
