Emergency Assistance Volunteer

Are you passionate about your community and looking for a meaningful way to give back? AnglicareSA is seeking volunteers to support our Emergency Assistance team at Christies Beach. Join us in providing vital assistance to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.

Who are we looking for?

We’re seeking dedicated Volunteers to support individuals and families in need. In this role, you’ll meet with clients to understand their circumstances, identify the services they need, and explore how we can best assist them. You’ll also help provide practical relief, such as food, clothing, and support.

What can you expect to be doing?

• Provide financial and material aid to clients in consultation with your Coordinator
• Provide appropriate advice, information and referral of clients
• Ensure client are receiving all entitled benefits and concessions
• Provide data entry support and other administrative tasks

What do you need to bring?

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy and the willingness to help.
• Relate well with people from a variety of different backgrounds.
• Ability to work with compassion and in a non-judgmental and respectful manner
• Have a working knowledge and understanding of client privacy and confidentiality
• Make accurate and non-judgemental records of client interviews
