The Opportunity:
The expansion of Ampcontrol services in Western Australia supports the new company vision to lead the global energy revolution. Ampcontrol is focused on diversifying and growing the business with a key focus on renewable energy manufacturing and supporting our customers in decarbonisation and mine site electrification.
We are looking for a qualified Electrical Leading Hand to support our dynamic Field Service team on a variety of exciting projects with a number of high profile clients within Western Australia, delivering reputable power solutions. This permanent, full-time position is a field-based role based on both mine sites and in regional areas throughout WA.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Plan, coordinate and complete electrical work (equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting & repairs).
- Make day to day decisions to ensure the projects are delivered in accordance with the scope of work.
- Liaise with the management team to ensure documentation/reporting is processed and any issues that may affect the project, customer, delivery schedule or profitability are identified.
- Identify HSEQ issues that may pose risk by conducting risk assessments, system audits and site inspections.
- Assist Project & Construction Managers with the scheduling of project implementations.
Please note that regular travel to other Ampcontrol and customer sites / regions will be a requirement of these roles.
What We're Looking For:
Your strong electrical skills coupled with a service-oriented mindset will be complemented by the following:
- Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Current WA Electrical Worker's Licence
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Electrical Supervisors' Competency (Advantageous).
- Excellent communication, job management and leadership skills.
- Self-motivation and flexibility to meet deadlines, operational changes, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, holding safety as a core value.
- Prepared to travel regularly as required.
